We are proud to have been appointed by North Yorkshire Council as the Community Anchor Organisation (CAO) for the Stokesley and District area, part of a network of place-based organisations supporting community connection and resilience.
North Yorkshire CAOs are small voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations, rooted in their local area and deeply embedded in local communities. They have a track record of responding to the needs of their communities and have a base from where they offer support, deliver activities and collaborate with others to meet the needs of the community.
Our role as a CAO means we are recognised as being proactive, with a track record of responding to community need.
As part of our role we work to:
• Improve physical and mental wellbeing and reduce health inequalities
• Support community regeneration by creating oportunities for people to be involved in place-based social action
• Build community resilience, including being part of local community emergency response and recovery arrangements
